Londoners to plan Lego Olympics

By Roxanne Millar

Londoners will be given a chance to design their own Lego Olympics tomorrow using mini tiles to decide how they want the site to be used in legacy.

East Londoners will be invited to use large plywood grids to plot, using coloured tiles, where they want houses, play areas, hospitals and shops on the Olympic Park site.

They will also be able to use wild card tiles representing unusual uses such as a zoo, bowling alley or spa.

As part of the public consultation, teams of three to six people will be able to design a blueprint tomorrow that will be photographed and filed, the Times reported.

The files will then be studied by three planning companies and could be included in templates to go out for formal consultation in September.

People outside of London can send their ideas in online.
