M&A Roarty Construction in administration

Stratford-based M&A Roarty Construction has dropped into administration.

The £17m-turnover subcontractor provides services in utility- and infrastructure-related civil engineering including tunnelling, shaft-sinking, groundworks and pipe installation.

The 20-year-old company employs around 185 staff and has worked with Morrison Utility Services, Laing O'Rourke and Black & Veatch.

The firm was unavailable for comment.
