Abba Plant Hire buys the UK’s first Genie GTH-5022R

Lincoln-based Abba Plant Hire, which also operates as APH Cranes and Access, has added the UK’s first Genie GTH-5022 R rotating telehandler to its fleet. 

The GTH-5022 R is Genie’s largest rotating telehandler and has a 5t lift capacity with a maximum lifting height of almost 22m.

Abba’s manager Nick Howe said the rough terrain machine is ideal for applications like steel erection, masonry and framing as well as commercial and residential construction.  It has already created interest from various segments of the construction sector.

In a little over a year since Abba moved into the aerial work platform hire with APH Cranes and Access, the company has established a fleet of over 70 (predominantly Genie) units including a full range of scissor lifts, articulating and telescopic booms as well as telehandlers.
