Volker Stevin wins £14.5m office job

Volker Stevin has won a  £14.5m contract to design and build a head office and cold distribution centre for Heron Foods near Hull.

The steel-framed distribution centre will be covered with a combination of microrib and trapezoidal cladding. It will hold a 6,650m² cold store, a 3,500m² chill store and a 9,590m² ambient store.

Meanwhile a two-storey office building will be built alongside the distribution centre.

Work is expected to be completed in late 2009.
