Long-running Scottish building firm Craigvar Construction will close at the end of the year due to the credit crunch.
The company, from Galashiels in the Scottish Borders, will axe 14 staff as it winds up its operations for good.
Company director Gordon Richardson told the BBC the closure was down to the impact of the credit crunch on construction work.
Other building firms in the area have also been shedding staff because of the lack of work, the broadcaster reported.
