Plant manufacturer Terex has told staff at its construction equipment plant in Lanarkshire that 130 jobs are at risk.

Workers at the Newhouse plant which produces articulated dump trucks and scrapers were informed of the move yesterday.

A total of around 600 employees work at the site.

A company spokeswoman said that the company has now entered a 90-day consultation with the unions.
