Olympic chiefs will reassure the International Olympic Committee (IOC) that the construction of the 2012 Games is on track.

IOC chief Jacques Rogge will take his first tour of the park this week as part of a four-day visit by officials as part of the IOC’s Transfer of Knowledge programme.

The programme aims to pass on lessons from Beijing.

During his visit, Rogge will visit Stratford and tour the site of the scaled-down Olympic village, reported the Guardian.

His visit comes amid rumoured changes to Games plans, including the possible relocation of badminton and rhythmic gymnastics to Wembley Arena.
