Aldar Laing O’Rourke, a joint venture between the UK contractor and a Middle Eastern developer, is cutting a further 320 jobs in Abu Dhabi.
The cuts, reported by Arabian Business, follow an announcement from the firm earlier this month that it was making more than 200 posts redundant.
Aldar is also putting schemes within its Al Raha Beach development in Abu Dhabi, including the World Trade Centre, on hold, pending a design review.
The news comes after an announcement from Aldar Properties on Wednesday that its fourth quarter net profit has fallen 84.9% to about 80 million dirhams (£15m), due to lower sales in poor market conditions.
