Miller Construction has bagged a £100m regeneration contract for developer Kendal Riverside.

The contract will see Miller build the 28,000m2 Riverside Place scheme on site of the former K Village Outlet Centre, Kendal over a 90-week period.

It will include nearly 7,000m2 of retail space, 90 luxury apartments, nearly 2,000m2 of commercial office space, and 500 car parking spaces.

Miller Construction area director Frank Joyce said: "The progression of the scheme has also been greatly enhanced by the early integration of our supply chain which has enabled us to bring additional experience and knowledge to assist in the value management process.

"Our partnering approach has ensured a smooth start to works on site and the early phases of the superstructure works are in line with our programme.

The project is set for completion in spring 2010.
