This week's top five construction tenders include the £150m redevelopment of the QEII berth in Middlesborough, improvement work for London's North Circular Road and construction work at Great Yarmouth College. The details are only a summary of what is on offer, for the full OJEU click on the link.
Middlesborough: Quay construction
- Value: £10m-£150m
- PD Teesport is advertising for a contractor to take on the QEII berth redevelopment. The work includes demolition of the existing jettyand the design and construction of a new quay and associated dredging works.
- Deadline: 17 June
Stratford: Construction management
- Value: £30m
- East Thames Group is looking for project management, employers agent and construction design and management co-ordinator services for a regeneration project in East London. The scheme is known as the Northern Olympic fringe project and includes the regeneration of 5,000 square metres of land.
- Deadline: 27 May
- Value: £20m-£30m
- Transport for London intends to procure a supplier to construct an environmental improvement scheme on a 3.4km stretch of the North Circular Road. The work will include demolition of two footbridges and construction of a replacement, alongside carriageway widening and associated drainage, lighting and reconstruction works.

Great Yarmouth: Education work
- Value: £20m-£25m
- Great Yarmouth College is seeking a contractor to redevelop the majority of its Suffolk Road campus. The work includes refurbishment of existing buildings, demolition and replacement of others together with hard and soft external works. Procurement for the contract is likely to be via JCT WCD (2005).
- Deadline: 10 June
- Value: £15m-£25m
- Sutton Housing Partnership is looking for main contractors to carry out external repairs and refurbishment to properties in the Sutton area of South London. The work will be carried out under the PPC2000 contract and will take place over five years. It will include replacement windows, painting, roofing, brickwork, concrete and timber repairs.
