Case suits world champion's Formula - PHOTO

Former Formula-One world champion Jody Scheckter has recently taken delivery of a Case CX240B crawler excavator and a 921E wheeled loader for his organically-farmed estate at Laverstoke Park in Hampshire.

The 921E pushes the green waste (mainly from Surrey County Council) into stock piles and the CX240B feathers the waste into a shredder before the wheel loader puts the shredded material into winrows and loads the lorries. Compost site manager Charlie Richards said of the CX240B (which has undercarriage protection and a hydraulic grab): “We looked into the costs of running this model against various other similar machines and calculated it could save us as much as £11,000 per year simply in fuel costs.”
