Metic shares suspended after results delay

By Will Mann

Shares in facades contractor Metic have been suspended after a delay in publication of the company's annual results.

In an announcement to the London Stock Exchange, where it is listed on AIM, Metic said the delay had been caused by "ongoing restructuring activity".

It added: "Results for the year ending 31 December 2008 will be issued no later than Wednesday 8 July
2009.

"Given the Company's failure to meet Rule 19 of the AIM rules, the stock has been suspended until such time that the accounts have been filed."

Metic's shares, which stood at 60p in February 2009, were just 6p when shares were suspended.

The company operates in the architectural structures, glazing, and facades markets.
