Atlas extends ranges

Atlas Copco has added new hydraulic and pneumatic breakers to its range and re-launched its hand-held hydraulic core drill range.

The new SB 452 extends the firm's new generation of solid body breakers and suits carriers up to 13t. Its floating bush design delivers 12% more single impact energy than its predecessors.

In addition, all Atlas Copco's SB and MB hydraulic breakers qualify for a free two-year warranty extension on major components under a new 1+2 program. New breakers have to be registered within four weeks, but units purchased since November 2008 can be retrospectively registered.

The new eight-model solid bodied/soft starting TEX range of pneumatic breaker spans 15.5kg to 31.5kg, is said to have 5% more power than the previous version, and can be used for 20% to 30% longer without increasing exposure to HAV.

Finally, the firm has re-launched its hydraulic core drills: the LCD 1500 is a 1,500/2,250 rpm model for bits between 12mm and 75mm diameter, while the slower (600/900 rpm) LCD 500 can be used to drill holes from 50mm to 202mm.
