This week's top five construction tenders features the new £1.2bn Forth Crossing, social housing construction in Glasgow worth £147m and a £57m PFI deal to build nine fire stations in London. The details are only a summary of what's on offer, for the full OJEU click on the link.
Glasgow: Forth replacement crossing
Value: £900m-£1.2bn
Transport Scotland is advertising the contract for the design, construction and completion of a new bridge over the Firth of Forth. The bridge will be cable stayed with three mono-towers, carrying a dual two lane carriageway main crossing, spanning 2.7km across the river. Trunk road connections are included in the contract, as is ongoing maintenance.

The Glasgow Housing Association plans to build 1200 new build rented units in 25 locations around Glasgow and is looking to estrablish a framework of four contractors to deliver the scheme. Agreement will be for three years with the option of an additional year. The procurement rounte will be either traditional construction, design and build or novated design and build.

London: Fire station construction
Value: £57m
The London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority is looking to enter into a contract with a contractor to deliver its PFI construction project. The work includes the design, construction, finance and operation of up to nine fire stations across the capital.

Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council is advertising for a contractor to build its new municipal office building in Rochdale town centre. Procurement will be by a two stage design and build process.
Deadline: 3 August
Value: £36m-£38m
A new leisure centre is planned for Bangor, Northern Ireland, which will include a 50m x 25m pool, diving pool, leisure pool and dry side leisure facilities. The works include all external works, drainage and m&e.
