Our readers are your specifiers.

The role of the contractor in deciding which construction products and materials to use on building and civil engineering projects is changing. New research from Contract Journal shows main contractors and subcontractors have a much greater say in specification and brand choice.

For the products and materials manufacturer, targeting the architect was once the obvious route but the advent of design and build, partnering, supply chain management and all the other myriad modern construction initiatives has called this assumption into question.

In fact 66% of Contract Journal's readers are responsible for the specification of products and materials - and 72% would in fact agree that their involvement is increasing.*
