£20m Scottish viaduct strengthening out to tender

Transport Scotland has put the M8 White Cart Viaduct strengthening and refurbishment scheme out to tender. The work is worth between £15m and £20m and involves strengthening the 822m long, 23-span elevated motorway viaduct located in Paisley. It includes reinforcing thee suspended span half-joints, retro-fitting addional steel plates and performing steelwork repairs. On the deck the contractor is expected to reinstate the waterproofing, surfacing, carriageway marking and lighting systems.
