CJ Desktop Alerts

UK construction industry news direct to your desktop

Contract Journal’s free desktop news alert service delivers industry news direct to your Windows PC desktop when the story breaks.

The service is free and you do not have to register - just download and run the installer provided at the link below:

http://www.contractjournal.com/downloads/InstallContractJournal.exe

How to install and set up your desktop alert

Installation is simple - just follow the instructions that will appear onscreen. During the setup process you will be given the opportunity to pick from the industry news channels provided:

  1. All construction business news - all   the news from www.contractjournal.com (including items 3-6 below)
  2. Construction industry announcements - industry announcements from our partner, CJ Connect
  3. Construction products and materials - from www.contractjournal.com
  4. Construction plant and equipment - from www.contractjournal.com
  5. Construction business and finance - from www.contractjournal.com
  6. Construction law news - from www.contractjournal.com

By default you'll receive all news, but you can change your preferences - or turn off the alerts - at any time.

Add additional news feeds

You can also subscribe to news from other sources - so long as they provide RSS (really simple syndication) feeds. There are plenty of RSS services available, for example, feeds from the BBC or from the FA (Football Association). What will you subscribe to? Sports results, share prices, updates from your trade association? Just add the RSS feed by dragging it on to your desktop alert.
