Zigfrid Underbelly - an evening with CRASH

CJ spent yesterday evening in ultra-trendy Hoxton. Not perhaps it's natural home, but it was the venue for a party for construction industry charity CRASH. In a bar called Zigfrid Underbelly, no less - apparently inspired by Andy Warhol, Keith Richard, Nico & Ziggy Stardust among others.......
The reason for the party? A year on from the launch of its 15th birthday Hard Hat Appeal and CRASH was celebrating having raised £275,000 - all of that going to help homelessness charities.

Contract Journal's readers raised almost £17,000 for the appeal, with Hanson, HBG, Wates, ACO Technologies, British Gypsum, Buildbase, Holloway White Allom, Thomas Vale and Knauf Drywall all pledging to help the CJ Appeal - a big thank you to them for their participation in the appeal.
The money raised from the CJ Appeal is going to help The Rock Trust in Edinburgh.
As well as giving money to organisations to improve their facilities, CRASH also helps to harness industry expertise to make projects happen, whether its anything from helping with initial plans to completion, so any company in the industry can offer to help. If you want to improve your CSR, give it a go!
