Russian to be the tallest in Europe

In 2008 we could see the tallest building in Europe completed. Construction began in 2003 and the Federation Tower in Moscow is planned to reach 506 metres (1,660 feet) to the tip of the East Tower’s spire. The West Tower (to be used for residential space) has already reached its 242 metres (795 feet).

The spire will house elevators between the two towers giving 360 degree views whilst bridges between the Eastern and Western towers will contain restaurants and cafés.

When completed, the complex will feature the World's Tallest Spire and will have World's highest glass elevators, ascending at a rate of 18 metres per second (40 kp/h).

Hi

Are you sure Moscow is in Europe?

Mark:

I looked into this and believe that Moscow is in the European part of Russia.
