More big dozer action shots

In further response to Bob Rockers request for more big dozer shots here at Digger regular Construction Space forum contributor David Wylie has sent in some impressive shots he took during a recent visit to the Scottish coal mine operation at Broken Cross in South Lanarkshire in the UK.

The Caterpillar D9T dozers are generally used for tip & haul road formation and maintenance, however this photo captures one of 4 Cat D9's on site performing coal stockpiling duties.

There are two Caterpillar D10T's in operation at the Broken Cross mine which are primarily used to level the excavated overburden which is being tipped by the fleet of Cat 777F dumptrucks on site.

As is the normal practice on sites these days the dumptrucks are not allowed to reverse to close to the edge of the tipping area and the D10T is deployed to push the loads to the tip face.

This last impressive photo of the Cat D10T looks like a modern day version of the dozer in David Bowies Ashes to Ashes video with the dramatic artwork David has done to the sky!
