Not ness monster

Nessie.jpg
News from Hochtief this week that had me choking on my cornflakes.

Could it have finally succeeded where generations of amateur photographers have failed? Could they have captured a shot of the elusive Loch Ness monster?

Well, no actually. What they’ve done instead is dress some poor bloke up in a furry green suit and told him to perch on their tunnel boring machine, which has finished its job cutting 8km of tunnels on Scottish and Southern Energy’s Glendoe hydro-electric project.

I love the pose though, as if he has just been asked to say ‘boo’ to the camera. Loch Ness monster my ar*e. I’ve seen more frightening things floating in my tea.

Still, at least Hochtief have obeyed the rules on PPE. Nessie has a high-vis vest, which is nice. No hard hat though. Still, monsters probably don’t need one.
