Who’s slides the most backhanders and rigs the most bids? I’ve always been pretty sure it’s not us. In fact, I always had my money on the French. But according to one construction supremo I spoke to the other day, it’s actually the Dutch. “Holland is the seat of construction corruption,” he said.
Whoah, steady on. Surely we can’t just go slandering a nation’s builders like that? “Well,” he replied. “Where do you think the term Dutch auction came from?”
