Not going green at Think 08

More proof if it were needed that sustainability has gone on the backburner in the wake of the credit crunch - last week's Think green building conference at London's Excel centre.

One of the main sustainability seminars attracted only 50 of the 90 registered attendees, which meant a swag of conference backpacks went uncollected. Let's hope they get recycled in a sustainable fashion. In fact, one of my spies admitted to finding the exhibition hall that much of a ghost town that he dashed over to the Grand Designs conference across the way. He told me: "Forget about Think - there was more sustainability, and people, over there."
