I was pootling back home the other day when I saw a whole convoy of FM Conway muck shifting lorries heading the other way.
I noticed that some of the more modern ones have a whizzier paint job than the others, as well as a message down the side which proudly tells the public: "Did you know that we recycle 95% of all arisings?" Er, no. I didn't know that. In fact, I'm not even sure if I know what "arisings" actually are.
Is it products like earth and rubble derived from landscaping, groundworking and demolition? If it is, what's wrong with using a good old-fashioned word like "waste"? I suppose that probably doesn't sound sustainable enough...
