Eco Towns are doomed, doomed

Just as the inquiry starts for the Ford Eco Town here in Sussex, the death knell has been sounded for the Government's flagship sustainability-cum-housing project - and it's Janet Street Porter who has sounded it.

Unsurprisingly, the people behind one of the schemes (which has now merged the other existing project), including Wates and Redrow Homes, disagree.
