Good Afternoon All, I am currently writing a report paper on the ever changin role of the quantity surveyor, I have only been a QS for 6 years and would be interested in getting somebody elses thoughts and opinions on the subject, especially some of you older boys out there

Are you talking about the professional QS or the contractor's QS?

Both different roles.

The PQS role has certainly diminished in recent years with the rise of design and build contracts.

I think many contractors would like to see the role of the PQS disappear entirely!
