Judging by the posts on here, it sounds like there's a fair few heavy machinery operators about.

I wondered what kind of excavators everyone uses?

We've always been a JCB firm mostly. A 3cx, four minis and midis, plus a wheeled excavator.

I am currently operating a Case CX 130B and I must say it is a exceptional piece of kit, I cannot find any fault with it, the Sumitomo based machine is a dream to operate with its drivers cab, smooth hydraulics, plenty of speed & power and very low noise levels.

I have operated machines from all the major manufacturers but I have to say this new CX takes some beating

A Cat 428 backhoe.

A tracked Volvo 13 tonner.

Plus a couple of Kubota minis.

Takeuchi TB135 and TB145 and other sizes hired in as jobs dictate. General tarmacadam surfacing & Civils (private & highway works)

Have to agree with you Dave,

On the mini digger front the Takeuchi's are absolutely fantastic machines! The best in my opinon, I spent a fair bit of time back along on a new TB145 and was also lucky enough to try out the new 14 tonner the TB1140 which we had on demo for a few days.

Yep - Takeuchi are kings of the minis!

We've also got a couple of the TB145s, a TB125, and a micro TB108 which is titchy!
