Social media (web 2.0) and the construction industry

I am helping to organise a free-to-attend workshop in central Liverpool next week (Friday, 15 May) focused on how the architecture, engineering, construction and property sectors can make better use of social media (aka Web 2.0) to build a better, more sustainable built environment. So if you are curious about how tools like blogs, Twitter, wikis, Second Life, Google Maps and online communities might help, please come along. The day will include sessions on using social media for marketing, on building information modelling (BIM), collaboration systems and on geographical information, but if you want to suggest other topics the day can be structured to include additional subjects.

More detail is available at http://www.be2camp.com - and I look forward to seeing some of you in Liverpool.
