Bid Manager - Civils

Our client a leading civil engineering contractor requires a Bid Manager to join its existing team on a contract basis to cover long term sick leave.
Based in Birmingham , working in the central counties of England , covering all types of civil engineering works. Projects are valued in the range of ?250k to ?25M. Turnover expected to be ?25M working for all local and national authorities and local developers.
Experienced Bid Manager with the drive and ambition to succeed in this multi faceted role -





Establishing an effective bid management system to ease the preparation of pre-qualification questionnaire and tender responses.
Coaching staff on processes such as market intelligence, business strategy, and bid management.
Liaising business development managers to ensure capture plans are implemented, monitored and updated
Liaising with commercial department / estimators, purchasing department, legal and insurance and individual business units at PQQ and Tender level.
Client liaison, attending tender briefings, workshops and conferences
Researching engineering details to establish winning strategies for tenders.
Providing high quality pre-qualifications and quality submissions to support tenders
Providing and delivering high quality oral presentations to clients
Managing proposal kick-off meetings and ensuring review meetings are conducted.


You must have experience in a similar role, working in a variety of civil engineering sectors including roads/highways.
Qualifications:
MEng or BSc in Civil Engineering. MICE preferably
