Project Summary
This critical project for Thames Water, which will deliver flood relief for over 500, includes: -
2 km of ?live? online pipeline upsizing and numerous new manholes all completed within the busy streets.
Numerous services diversions and traffic management arrangements.
3km of 2.87m diameter tunnel through mixed ground (Lambeth Beds) using a new full face TBM
5No. tunnel shafts, including a major pumping station, all in water bearing ground using both the caisson and underpinning method.
2.5km of 1200mm microtunnel, using slurry TBM?s
19No. Microtunnel shafts.
Specialist ground dewatering techniques will be used at number of the shaft positions
