Due to company growth we are currently recruiting for a Permanent Contracts Manager to be based out of the Hampshire Office. You will be working for a reputable Building Services company with over 30 years experience dealing predominately with Mechanical and Specialist services.With a £20million pound turnover (2008 to 2009) this organisation is looking at steady growth in the years ahead. Mainly covering projects within the South East (Surrey, London, Kent, Sussex etc)

You will be operating as a Strategic Manager and Team player, capable of leading and motivating their Team whilst displaying excellent communication skills and obvious "presence", you will be given considerable freedom in both developing the strategic plan for the Business and its delivery within the core values and beliefs of the Company and Group.

  • Manage and pro-actively support all commercial activities
  • Ensure that all activities are delivered to the agreed time/cost/service/specification/ presentation
  • Ensure the Health & Safety Laws and requirements are adhered to
  • Personal visits, sales development and negotiation represents a major element of this position
  • Keep and maintain full documentation to ensure that good business practice is achieved
  • Staff/People Management including recruitment, team development, disciplinary and grievances in conjunction with the Department Manager and Managing Director.
  • Dealing with Sales, Quotations and Estimations, assist in evaluation of Tenders for potential risk and exposure
  • Progress Suppliers and Sub-Contractors as may be necessary
  • Monitor the development of outline designs into working drawings and plant schedules,
  • Provide payment information to the Commercial Manager where necessary
  • Monitor Sub-Contractor Valuations/Variations, in accordance with Monthly Payment Timetables
  • Ensure completion of Sub-Contract Certifications and Final Account Agreement in conjunction with the Surveyor

R equirements:

  • Experienced in the provision of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Services,
  • You must be mechanically qualified.
  • Commercially orientated, you will be charged with leading and developing the workforce and building strategic relationships with Key Client, prospects and partner Organisations
  • Previous experience of running Design and build projects up to £5million.
  • Experience of running a team of circa 5 Project Managers
