Role is working on domestic residential planned and reactive maintenance/refurb running from 10-20 projects at any one time. Usually running around £200k worth of projects a month. Based at: Guildford (must hold UK driving licence)
To provide technical and onsite support to the Project Manager, to help achieve the team targets specified by the Operational Manager. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Contracts Manager is responsible for the supervision of works on site. The Contracts Manager will ensure that all aspects of the works on site are delivered in line with service level agreements and audit procedures. Duties: 1. Ensure that all works are started and completed in line with the scheduled programme and that any additions/omissions are communicated to the PM/Loss Adjuster/Sub-contractor 2. Oversee and ensure quality of workmanship meets required standards and all works are completed as per the agreed schedule 3. Provide technical assistance to sub-contractor where decision making is required, under the supervision of PM 4. Liaise with sub-contractor and PM on variations where required and keep informed on costs 5. Manage contractor compliance: Contractor clothing, PPE, site rules and health & safety and carry out on site audits 6. Visit all the team?s live claims on a weekly basis and prepare site notes for the file 7. Keep in close contact with the policyholder and provide regular updates to the PM 8. Attend site on completion date for each job, coordinate snagging issues and obtain satisfaction note where possible 9. Agree and purchase bespoke materials and ensure they are delivered to site in a timely manner 10.Upload photos to relevant folders following site visits 11.Supervise and monitor sub-contractor performance and relay any issues back to the PM 12.Attend initial survey visits and prepare schedules, under the supervision of the PM 13.Project manage lower value claims, as requested by the PM 14.Represent the company image at all times 15.Working closely with the PM at all times and attending meetings as requested
The ideal candidate will have good communication skills and be able to liaise confidently with contractors, suppliers and policyholders. They should have a background in a similar type of role and experience in managing different trades on site.
