This well established main contractor, with offices spanning the Eastern seaboard, requires Site Managers / General Foremen to join their expanding Victoria operations.

This company pride themselves on training and developing their 400 staff, and providing internal options to further careers, resulting in excellent staff retention and employee satisfaction. With an outstanding reputation for delivering complex projects across the Commercial, Retail, Industrial and Education sectors, in either traditional or design & construct formats, values up to $100m. They have great existing client relationships, and have recently grown that client base.

As part of the school federal government stimulus injection this contractor has been awarded a number of school projects up to $4m in value. Due to this workload my client requires Site Managers / General Foreman with a sound understanding of the construction process to work on a couple of these projects simultaneously in a stand alone manner. Previous experience on Education projects would be beneficial but not essential.

You will be extremely organised, possess outstanding team management skills, with excellent structures and finishes knowledge. Ideally you will have previously worked on projects between $10m and $30m, or larger, for the projects that will follow the education work they will be undertaking.

Your duties will include, but not be limited to:


Programming the construction process, monitoring and reporting their progress.


Overall responsibility for delivering the projects on time and within budget.


Attending and contributing to client meetings.


Managing the subcontractors on site, with responsibility for Health and Safety.


Reporting to the Senior Project Manager based in the Head Office.
