An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Service Centre Team Leader to lead, support and develop a team in the delivery of an intergrated HR and payroll service.

This is an immediate start, 6 month Fixed Term Contract for a HR Generalist with previous experience of leading and motivating a team, co-ordinating and prioritising their workload, within a shared service environment.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Ensuring all HR and payroll processes are delivered in accordance with the department performance indicators and service level agreements by the appropriate allocation and prioritisation of workload and resources.
* The ongoing review of processes and service levels to ensure continuous improvement and added value to the business.
* To develop and maintain excellent working relationships with the business and the HR team, understanding upcoming changes in business activity and seeking the opportunity to gain feedback on service standards whenever appropriate.
* Provision of feedback on performance against indicators and analysis of management reports as required.
* The initial management of any queries or complaints and their escalation as appropriate.
* Ensuring that all team members have current measurable objectives and development plans in place, both in relation to their current role and their future career aspirations.
* To review and update individual and team objectives and development plans on a regular basis, as agreed with the ESC Manager, and always in line with company procedures.
* Taking responsibility for the induction and job training of all new team members.
* To conduct regular team meetings to ensure a 2 way communication channel and to ensure that changes to policy and procedures are understood and implemented consistently.
* Together with the ESC manager to review staffing levels and to take an active role in the recruitment of new team members in line with best practice and company policy.
* To ensure adherence to data protection policy in relation to all employee personal data and that all filing is managed on a timely basis.
* Operate at all times in accordance with the corporate health and safety, environment and quality standards.


KEY SKILLS/EXPERTISE:
* CIPD qualified or equivalent experience.
* Previous experience of leading and motivating a team, co-ordinating and prioritising their workload, within a shared service environment.
* Previous experience of working as an HR generalist is essential.
* Knowledge / experience of TUPE operations would also be advantageous
* Knowledge of HR and payroll systems is highly desirable.
* Experience of working with SAP system and/or system implementation would be particularly useful.
* Sound PC knowledge with competency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
* Ability to work in a busy team environment, to challenging deadlines.
* Positive, hardworking and fun outlook with excellent written and verbal communication skills.


SALARY:
Between £30,000 to £32,000 dependant on experience
