Leap 29 are currently representing a key client who are a large multidisciplinary consultancy. Their Development Infrastructure Dept provide specialist advice to mainly private sector clients on design and planning issues. They have an exciting opportunity for a designer within a small team producing planning applications and construction drawings and will be involved in several projects and client accounts at one time.
Ideal candidates will have a degree in Civil Engineering or HNC/HND. You MUST have post grad experience in highway and / or drainage design. You will also have knowledge of:
Applying Highways Agency (DMRB, MMHW, etc) and Local Authority design guidance, and / or drainage experience of Sewers for Adoption.
Ideally you will be well versed in the preparation of drawings for Contract S278, S38 and S104 Adoption Agreements.
You will also be able to use one or more of the following design software packages;
PDS (or similar) for the design of highways, or sewers using WINDES.
Ability to produce drawings in AutoCAD is essential and the ability to design traffic signals in LINSIG would be an advantage.
