The project has now begun the transition from the design phase to construction. The contractors will soon commence their work on the large main contracts - and the two airports will begin to take shape in the coming years. The airports will become landmarks in the Sultanate of Oman.
Proficient in your technical discipline, you must also be fluent in spoken and written English, and possess the ability to work in a multicultural, multidisciplinary, fast-paced, high-pressure organisation. Applicants will ideally have worked in the Middle East for at least 3 - 5 years. Although not mandatory, experience in airport projects is clearly an advantage. The working week is 48 hours over 6 days.
Inspectors conduct daily inspections and monitoring of the work carried out by the Contractor. They will, within their discipline, carry out all supervision, compiling information from the Contractor and reporting all issues to the Senior Site Engineer. The Inspectors will on a daily basis record and report the contractors' performance and progress. You must have specialisation in a discipline e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Structural, Utilities, Civil Engineering etc.
The specific requirements are:
- BSc in Engineering from a recognised university or similar technical education
- Minimum of 5 years experience from large, complex civil engineering & building construction projects
