Interior Trim Bespoke Manager

Automotive OEM based in the South East seeks an Interior Trim Bespoke Manager for a long term contract period.



Experience needed to do the job:



Technical expertise in woodwork and trim manufacturing processes.

5years minimum engineering or process planning role, with decision making responsibility.

Ability to interpret engineering CAD data and tolerances.

Excellent organisational, presentation and problem solving skills.

Good IT skills.



Any particular qualifications required to do the job (if applicable):



Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing/Production Engineering Degree



DECISIONS:



The key things that the role has to make decisions on:



Allocation of resources and capacity planning

Provide manufacturing feasibility to design and engineering proposals, finding the best fit (economic and quality) to bespoke manufacture proposals.



Other decisions the role has a significant say in:



Veneer selection.

Methods of manufacture.

Material specification.



The key challenges of the job for any job holder - the hardest part of it:



Working to very tight timelines, often without engineering drawings and specifications.

Interpreting marketing, design and engineering requirements, and providing cost and timing information

Achieving high quality solutions with little or no investment

Capacity planning



Any other important information about the job:



Team manufactures bespoke trim items. ( one off and very low volume production)

Due to the short term realisation of features, intense coordination is required within the whole bespoke chain

Work is mainly defined by Sales, Marketing, Design or Engineering Requests.

Wood and leather specialists report to the Bespoke Manager
