LICENSING ENFORCEMENT OFFICER-CENTRAL LONDON-CONTRACT £25 PER HOUR

Job Description:

To deliver an effective, high quality Licensing service in line with Council, Departmental and Service Objectives. To carry out enforcement action in respect of licensed/unlicensed premises. To work in partnership with the Police, Fire Brigade and other enforcement agencies on projects.

Skills Required:

· Working knowledge of Licensing Enforcement Officer, under Licensing Act

· Knowledge of Flare would be useful. Willingness to work a 35 hour week, on a shift system - working on a rota with some evening work. Usually Friday and Saturdays nights covered by the team. Likely to be 1 weekend in 4, where off set evening work with time off during day.

· To be able to work independently outside the office and to work in a team on a shift basis that will include evening and weekend working. To be able to use databases for recording and retrieving information. To be able to use Word, Excel and Outlook.

· An understanding of how the work of the licensing team has an important and positive impact on the quality of life for everybody working and living in the borough. Knowledge of licensing legislation. Knowledge and understanding of statutory requirements relevant to enforcement.

· Flare knowledge, Microsoft Word Outlook 35 Hour week, but with rota system which results in 2 nights (usually Friday and Saturday) being worked approximately every 3 weeks. Live within M25 Beneficial.
