Materials Project Leader

An excellent opportunity has arisen to work for a major manufacturer of high end communication devices on a long term contract. Previous experience of working as a Materials Controller or planner for a luxury good item would be highly desirable.

As the Materials Project Leader you will be responsible for monitoring, co-ordinating and reporting activities within assigned program to ensure implementation of fully capable suppliers and supply chains that will support the development and introduction of new products.

You will work collaboratively with the Sourcing Managers and Programme to ensure that milestone deliverable are met against agreed timescales and to agreed targets.

There are a number of objectives that you will be expected to achieve whilst carrying out this position. These will include maintaining the various sourcing capability management documentation.

You will be expected to have previous experience of Supply Chain Management best Practices and related tools. Experience of Project / Program management. In depth knowledge of costing principals.

This position is likely to suit a Material Controller or Material Planner.
