Mechanical Design Engineer

We are currently recruiting a number of permanent roles on behalf of a leading Building Services Contractor. We presently have a requirement for a permanent, experienced Mechanical Design Engineer. This is a great opportunity to join a successful company that continues to win contracts in the current market conditions. You will be expected to undertake design of installations for heating, air conditioning, ventilation, steam and water services for industrial, educational and commercial projects up to £10million in value.

• People Management; control of Technicians
• Prepare, develop and present project design proposals to a client following the external brief and internal discussions so that client requirements are met,
• Y ou will be expected to prepare all details required for tender such are relevant specifications, designs, drawings, equipment and schedules
• Issue in conjunction with the client, contract documentation to tender, adjudicate and recommend appropriate contractor to meet project requirements.

Essential experience:

• Hevacomp and AutoCAD Software
• Degree Qualified with CIBSE accreditation is desirable
• Educated to HNC or equivalent level in building services as a minimum
• Worked on projects with a Mechanical value up to £10 Million.
• This role will include attending project meetings, liaising with clients and working to deadlines and seeing contracts from the drawing board to handover.
• Background in Mechanical Building Services Design
• Experience in all building services
• Knowledge of UK regulations, terms of agreement and contract documentation
• Ability to produce detailed drawings and knowledge of job costing
