Responsibilities:

The following describes the main duties of the Planner; however there may be occasions when employees are assigned additional duties, according to the needs of the company.

You will be expected to:

- Provide Sales & Marketing with quotation lead times for commercial products when requested.

- Partake in the Contract Review process, reviewing all Sales Orders to ensure we meet the requested delivery.

- Work with designers to ensure details of all relevant drawings & bills of materials for new products or modified products are entered into our Match-IT ERP system in a timely fashion

- Update Match-IT & create project schedules, etc. as & when required.

- Maintain planning data within the Match-IT ERP system. Ensure parts are created with correct descriptions & methods. Modify existing methods in line with feedback from QC, Design, Technical & other areas. Ensure that minimum/maximum order quantities, batch sizes & safety stock levels are constantly reviewed and adjusted to meet the needs of the business.

- Work closely with the Product Line, Sales & Marketing and Buyers to define stock levels for parts, raw materials & finished products. Monitor stock levels accordingly.

- Liaise with the Shop Floor Manager to ensure test facilities, vessels, tools, etc. are available to meet the schedule (note: scheduling of test facilities & vessels is the responsibility of the Shop Floor Manager)

- Manage Works Orders for the Shop Floor (including the Machine & Mould Shops), ensuring release in line with Sales Order & Project requirements. Where possible merge demand to ensure efficiency. Ensure Works Orders are released with correct drawings where applicable.

Reports to:

The Planner reports to the Supply Chain Manager.

Minimum Qualification:

Education: Preferably HNC qualified in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent

Experience: Relevant experience or can demonstrate possession of the necessary special knowledge & skills (detailed below). Ideally some experience of having worked within a Planning environment &/or with MRP/ERP software.
