Our client is a large National contractor who work in direct partnership with the MOD. They have an impressive record of successfully completing a number of multi million pound contracts throughout the UK. They specialise in the maintenance, improvement and up keep of the housing stock on various RAF and Army bases.
Purpose of the Role
To assist in maintaining and monitoring Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programme. To assist in managing inspection regimes with PPM Technical Officers. Communicate with internal departments and Supply Chain partners to ensure effective and efficient delivery of PPM. Prepare and issue performance reports. Key Role Objectives ? To maintain up-to-date PPM information and programme. ? To ensure that Schedule 1 and 2 tasks undertaken by MHS staff or Specialist Suppliers are all programmed and orders created. ? Generate monthly PPM programme and review programme to ensure most efficient delivery of service and to minimise disruption to Occupants. ? To modify PPM programmes and task frequencies based on information received from PPM Technical Officers and Arboricultural Officers staff. ? To generate orders for inspections to be undertaken by Technical Officers and Specialist Suppliers. ? Generate appointment letters to Occupants relating to PPM works due to take place in occupied properties. ? To answers calls from Occupants and re-book appointments for PPM tasks. ? To produce monthly progress reports and carry out basic trend analysis to identify problem areas in operational delivery. ? Liaison with Help Desk to optimise attendance of delivery operatives with other planned or responsive maintenance works. ? Liaison with Suppliers to ensure that adequate supply chain resources are available to undertake PPM programmes. ? Prepare and issue performance reports both internally and to DE in relation to performance of PPM works. Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications Required Essential: ? Minimum of 2 years experience of general administration. ? Experience of operating a Planned Preventative Maintenance system. ? Educated to GCSE standard including Mathematics and English. ? Sound understanding of PPM systems, programmes and their administration. ? Computer literate with fast and accurate data input skills. ? Ability to work under pressure; think clearly and act decisively. ? Good personal organisation skills. ? Good listening and communication skills. ? Good problem solving skills. ? Team Player. ? Good foresight and ability to plan ahead.
? Proactive. Desirable: ? Experience in a customer focused, high volume construction, property maintenance or related field. ? Experience of housing maintenance services. ? Experience of operating in a military environment. ? Educated to NVQ Level 3 standard or equivalent experiential experience. ? RSA I and II. ? Knowledge of MOD Statutory and Mandatory testing regimes. ? Knowledge of Grounds Maintenance regimes.
Personal Qualities The successful candidate will have experience of Planned Preventative Maintenance systems ideally gained while working within a military environment. They will be a proactive team player with excellent all round organisational and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will also be innovative with excellent problem solving skills and the ability to ?think outside the box?. With a strong customer focus the successful applicant will be receptive to change and committed to continuous improvement.
