PRINCIPAL RISK & SAFETY ENGINEER - SINGAPORE - START ASAP

My client is a global enterprise with over 100 offices and over 30 year history. The company is a provider of technical, project and operational services to customers, and is continually growing as an organization. They are prominent in the Resources, Energy and Complex Process Industry.

They now require a Lead / Senior Risk and Safety Engineer to join them in their Singapore office.

Primary objectives

* To lead a group of safety & risk engineers on projects.
* To undertake various safety & risk assessments, including Quantitative Risk Assessments, Formal Safety Assessments (e.g. fire and explosion assessment, escape evacuation rescue analysis, emergency systems survivability analysis), Dropped Object Analysis, HAZOPs, etc.
* To undertake/manage safety & risk related projects as required by the company workload.
Specific Accountabilities
* Project management, production of project deliverables on time and to budget.
* Lead and manage Risk Assessments and other Safety & Risk related Studies or Reports.
* Facilitate Project Risk Assessments for the various Customer Sector Groups.
* Mentor graduate engineers in Safety & Risk related projects.
* Provide advice to Project Engineering personnel & Management on all aspects of risk reduction, mitigation and safety engineering matters.
* Work as a Lead Safety in support of other Engineering projects for the various Customer Sector Groups.
* One Way - Support and demonstrate leadership, commitment and accountability for the effective application of OneWay.
* Quality Assurance - Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the BU, etc.
* Safety - Responsible for personal safety and safe working practices for the BU, etc. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.


Requirements

* Degree in Engineering or equivalent, preferably safety & risk, chemical.
* Experience in onshore and offshore Oil & Gas and Hydrocarbons projects for reputed engineering companies and consultancies.
* Be certified in and have experience in facilitation of Hazard Analyses including HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, etc.
* Minimum 12 years in safety & risk.
