Procurement Buyer (Venues & Infrastructure)

A key organisation involved in the delivery of a major, global sporting event is recruiting a Venues & Infrastructure Buyer. You will have purchased within the temporary events industry, have strong stakeholder management skills & be commercially minded.

Key Responsibilities:

-Lead the procurement activity (plan, source, select and negotiate) across a number of categories or commodities in the temporary overlay and events areas, with the aim of minimising cash outlay and maximising VIK opportunities.

-Ensure that excellence is achieved through the drafting, development and implementation of effective procurement strategies.

-Achieve Venues and Infrastructure's requirement to drive down cost by demonstrating best value for money.


Key Skills:

-Significant hands-on procurement experience gained on large, complex project procurements.

-Proven track record in negotiating complex category-specific deals with the Temporary Events Industry.

-Experience of sustainable procurement practices and techniques.

-Excellent project management expertise and the ability to drive for and exceed required goals.
