Programme Manager

This international consulting engineering firm has for over over fifty years, and over twenty years in Oman, of experience in the planning, designing and implementation infrastructural projects. Their major focus is on the water industry which includes: water resources, water supply and wastewater treatment networks, storage facilities, water drainage, wetland restoration, ports, harbours, flood control and alleviation systems.

• The duties and responsibilities are managing the planning and scheduling matters of six sites supervising three planning engineers.
• Reviewing and approving the Contractor’s programme of works, ensuring that it is in accordance with the Contract.
• Reviewing the Contractor progress and ensuring that the programme is updated on a regular basis.
• Reporting all scheduling issue to the Project Manager
• Liaising with the Resident Engineers to determine progress and reasons for any lapses in progress and reporting to the Project Manager current progress and issues affecting progress.
• Projecting completion dates based on current progress, advising on the effect of any progress remedial measures.

The experience and qualification required:
• Degree in engineering or related subject, planning credentials
• Good experience with Primavera
• Experience of similar work with progressively increasing responsibility, and experience as a senior planner.
• Working overseas or in the region essential.
• Arabic would be a benefit.
• Driving licence
