* QS * Commercial Quantity Surveyor Manager - Hampshire - FM

Our client is looking for a TOP Commercial QS Manager for a 35 year PFI contract within the Facilities Management and Support Services Industry. Services delivered include FM Soft and Hard Services, Project Management, Transport, Utilities Management and Retail Operations.
Our client design, install and maintain environmentally friendly buildings and associated distribution infrastructure for mainly refurbishment projects. In the next 2-3 years, they will also be responsible for new build and the critical part of this role is setting up the quantity surveying/estimating process and systems for refurbishment and new build. Our client has asset encompassing residential, retail and commercial building located in Aldershot and Salisbury

The position will also be responsible for managing the Unavailability regime for the contract. This regime monitors the availability of space and requires to be managed in conjunction with any major refurbishment or New Build Programme


CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION

QUALIFICATIONS:


ESSENTIAL:

Formerly recognised QS qualification and preferably affiliated member of RICS or other similar approved body .

EXPERIENCE:

ESSENTIAL:

Extensive experience in Design & Build, Construction, M&E Services or FM Services Industry.

Formerly recognised QS qualification and preferably affiliated member of RICS or other similar approved body

Proven experience in commercial analysis, pricing and developing long term (eg PFI environment) financial models for works & ‘Hard Services’.

IDEALLY:

Experience of pricing and developing long term financial models ‘Soft Services’.

Experience in Commercial Management, preferably in facilities or construction environment.

Experience in preparation of Bid Packages, Tenders and analysis of same for facilities works and services

SKILLS:

ESSENTIAL:

Excellent organisation and communication skills, both written and sp

Self starter able manage and prioritise workload.

High attention to detail and accuracy.
