My client, a leading specialist contractor in the restoration of heritage listed buildings and landmark monuments are currently recruiting for an Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to be based in their Head Office in East London.
Predominately you will be involved with pricing works and submitting competitive tenders so experience with JCT Minor Works and IFC84 Intermediate and Prime Cost forms of contract is important.
This is a Contract/Freelance role for 12 months
It is ESSENTIAL that you have extensive experience within the refurbishment/restoration of heritage/conservation/listed buildings.
The duties of this position will include, but are not limited to:
Organising and planning of tender workload.
Producing cost estimates for resources.
Assessment of cost factors and possible impacts on tender costs.
Attending client meetings where required.
Strong client skills to encourage repeat business
Good communicator and team player
Procurement of sub-contractors.
Practised in quantification and familiar with the standard methods of measurement
A record of securing successfully completed contracts
An ability to read and understand tender documents especially specifications and drawings
Plan and organise the work necessary to provide the cost estimate by the due date.
