Senior Electrical Building Services Design Engineer -

I’m URGENTLY seeking a Senior Electrical Building Services Design Engineer who has high aspirations of becoming an Associate and possibly a Director of the company within the next 3 or 4 years. The company in question is in need of a Senior Electrical Design engineer with around 6/7 years of experience who can easily adapt to different aspects of Electrical Services and to different projects.

Experience: Ideally someone who is a MEP Engineer (mechanical, electrical, building sustainability and building physics) and has been involved in refurbishments and new builds doing electrical and lighting design, TV and telecommunications network design, applying for stat maps, gas, water and electricity supply, security systems including intruder alarms and CCTV monitoring, fire safety engineering; Lift specification, lightning protection, Building Regulations Part L compliance (Both M&E) and a little knowledge on Public Health systems and maybe SAP/iSBEM calculations would be very advantageous.

Experience using Hevacomp 16th edition software and Dialux as well as Relux for M&E purposes. Also a graduate MCIBSE or MCIBSE will also go very much in your favour.

It’s a multi-disciplinary practice that is looking to build on the current climate; they wants a strong and well qualified workforce that is able to take the company to the next level. Projects include: Residential; Commercial; small Theatres; large (up-market) Residential housing; Hotels & Education. It’s essential and I really mean ESSENTIAL that you have past experience on Residential projects.

As I mentioned this is a progressive role and one not to be taken lightly, the MD and another director are looking to retire over the course of the next 5 years which means that there will senior as well director positions available.

If you work hard and prove yourself then there could be a possibility of becoming a major influence on the company’s direction and the package as it stands could be between £40,000 - +£42,000 depending on experience and education.
