Our client is the leading choice for operators in the global energy market and they are looking for a Senior Engineer Grid Connection to join their established and growing company, this is an exciting opportunity for a progressive engineer use their expertise in Grid Connection.

You will work with the simulation of network and grid for wind turbines, including planning of regenerative fed grids.

Experience
Typically we would expect you to have proven experience of all aspects of HV (up to 132 kV) distribution systems together with a working knowledge of technical and regulatory aspects of electrical grid integration of renewable energy projects.

This should include negotiation of connections with DNOs, equipment specification, power system studies and power system protection. Wind farm, GB Transmission System and GB Grid Code experience would also be advantageous.

You will probably be currently employed by a wind farm developer, TNO / DNO or a consultancy with developer customers.

Essential Requirements:
MSc Electronic engineering;
Knowledge of the functioning of generators, transmission networks, and energy savings;
Knowledge of Matlab and Simulink, such as net simulation tools as PSS/E, DIgSILENT/PowerFactory;
