Senior Quantity Surveyor

My Client a fast expanding design and build contractor offering a wide range of construction services in Mauritius, currently has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor. You will be able to handle the group of quantity surveyors on site and able to sort out the contractual issues and responsible for contract administration including administration, monitoring, construction claims, commercial and contractual issues. You will be an experienced Quantity Surveyor with extended years in a similar position in the construction industry. You will be holding a Degree in Quantity Surveying from a recognized institution and be competent in associated computer costs systems such as CCS. You will be preparing bills of Quantities, assessing project costs and recommending payment to contractors during construction, reviewing all monthly cost valuations and monthly cash-flows. Preparing the contract performance, cash-flow and profitability, index. Able to work in a team of the Quantity Surveying staff on all company projects to achieve deliverables of cost planning, value engineering, cost benefit analysis; life cycle costing; valuations, and cost estimation; final accounts and claims management. Knowledge of French is an advantage, but not necessary. An attractive package will be offered to the right candidate.
